Travel Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Warren, OH

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license (Compact or OH)
• A minimum of 2 years’ Stepdown/Intermediate Care (SDU/IMCU) nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Ventilator management experience at the IMCU level
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Successful completion of a dysrhythmia exam (study guide provided)
• Proficiency with cardiac and respiratory drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, etc.)
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and adaptability

Preferred:

• Experience with EPIC documentation system
• Critical Care course completion
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop care plans
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to mixed acuity Stepdown patients (including cardiac, neuro, renal, GI, and respiratory conditions)
• Safely manage medications and drips; respond rapidly to changing conditions
• Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and act as an advocate for patients and their families
• Educate patients, families, and newer staff as needed
• Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold infection control standards
• Participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives
