Schedule/Hours:
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license
- Previous experience in stepdown or telemetry units required
- ACLS certification (current)
- Proven proficiency in medication administration, patient assessments, and developing individualized care plans
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting as part of routine patient care
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for stepdown and telemetry patients with a focus on safety and quality
- Monitor, assess, and report on patient conditions, adapting care plans as needed
- Effectively manage a 6:1 patient ratio on night shifts (and 5:1 on day shifts), providing acute observation and timely interventions
- Administer medications, track responses, and document outcomes with accuracy
- Collaborate with fellow clinicians, support staff, and physicians to coordinate treatments
- Engage with patients and families to communicate care plans and progress, ensuring a supportive environment
