Schedule/Hours:

  • 3 x 12-hour night shifts

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • Previous experience in stepdown or telemetry units required
  • ACLS certification (current)
  • Proven proficiency in medication administration, patient assessments, and developing individualized care plans
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting as part of routine patient care

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care for stepdown and telemetry patients with a focus on safety and quality
  • Monitor, assess, and report on patient conditions, adapting care plans as needed
  • Effectively manage a 6:1 patient ratio on night shifts (and 5:1 on day shifts), providing acute observation and timely interventions
  • Administer medications, track responses, and document outcomes with accuracy
  • Collaborate with fellow clinicians, support staff, and physicians to coordinate treatments
  • Engage with patients and families to communicate care plans and progress, ensuring a supportive environment
