This travel opportunity places you in a high-acuity Progressive Care/Stepdown environment, providing exceptional exposure to a wide variety of clinical cases including respiratory, renal, surgical, and trauma patients. Working with a diverse team, you’ll collaborate with experienced colleagues, benefit from dynamic leadership, and hone your expertise in ventilator management, complex drips (Cardizem, Amio but no pressors), and care for tracheostomy and high-flow respiratory patients. This is the only unit outside the ICU to handle trachs and vents—making it the ideal assignment to expand your clinical toolbox and resume.

Schedule/Hours

• 12-hour night shifts

Qualifications

• Current RN license (or compact)
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; 6 months in acute care preferred
• Strong recent higher-acuity hospital or stepdown experience
• Proficiency with vents, trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen modalities
• Experience with insulin drips required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification (required/can obtain)
• Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide available)
• EPIC EHR experience and CCRN/PCCN preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Manage ventilated and high-acuity patients in a 28-bed unit
• Administer medications and complex therapies safely
• Coordinate care and serve as a patient advocate
• Mentor and educate nursing peers as needed
• Respond swiftly to changing patient conditions and emergency situations
• Float to like/lower acuity units as assigned
