Schedule:

• 12-week assignment
• Day and night shifts available, typical nurse:patient ratios of 1:4-5 (days) and 1:5 (nights) (subject to staffing)

Qualifications:

• Active RN license, with compact license eligibility if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/IMCU experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience managing vents on an IMC level
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
• Dysrhythmia exam completion (study guide provided)
• Proficient with non-titratable and select titratable drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, nitro, Heparin)
• Ability to manage BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow, HHFNC, and occasional vents
• Comfort caring for cardiac, neuro, renal, and complex med-surg or respiratory patients

Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care using the nursing process
• Administer and monitor IV medications and drips as per unit protocol
• Guide patient and family teaching and care coordination across departments
• Collaborate with CNAs, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Synthesize patient assessment data and revise care plans for improved recovery
• Foster patient advocacy, safety, and support in a fast-paced environment
