Professionally, you’ll step into a dynamic Progressive Care/Stepdown Unit (PCU/Stepdown, 8SE Neuro) where your skills will expand through exposure to innovative workplace practices, multidisciplinary teams, and a variety of patient cases. The forward-thinking environment supports learning from different leadership styles while diversifying your experience in neuro and stroke care, cardiac drips, and intermediate-level interventions. Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts
• 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license (Ohio or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (study guide for dysrhythmia exam available)
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; neuro/stroke and acute care experience highly preferred
• EPIC EHR familiarity preferred
• Previous work with ratios of 1:4 days and 1:5 nights, preferred

Role Overview:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs in an intermediate care neuro/stroke setting
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips
• Clinically manage patients with multi-system organ failure and trauma
• Serve as a liaison for patients, families, and care teams, advocating for optimal outcomes
• Implement evidence-based nursing practice; adapt to changing patient conditions confidently
• Support and educate peers, participate in quality improvement initiatives
