Registered Telemetry Unit Nurse | Alabaster, Alabama

An opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with proficiency in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing. This contract role is ideal for RNs skilled in adult Med Surg and Tele environments, seeking their next engaging assignment with a supportive team.

Upcoming orientation is scheduled for June, with an eight-hour orientation session to ensure a smooth transition into the unit.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active RN license in good standing
• At least one year of recent experience in both Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing settings
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation abilities
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, patient-focused environments
• Knowledge of current best practices in Med Surg and Telemetry care
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients in Med Surg and Telemetry departments
• Safely and efficiently monitor patient telemetry, recognizing and acting on critical changes
• Coordinate and communicate care plans effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families
• Document observations, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
• Adhere to facility policies, regulatory requirements, and established best practices
• Support quality improvement and infection control initiatives on the unit

Schedule:

• Contract position
• PM shift availability required
