An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to provide high-quality care on a cardiovascular telemetry unit. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts, caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions in a dedicated 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiovascular and related conditions
  • Monitor patients using cardiac telemetry equipment and respond to any changes in condition
  • Administer cardiac drips and manage complex cardiac patient needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members, including PCA support, to optimize patient outcomes
  • Utilize Cerner Powerchart for accurate and timely documentation
  • Adhere to hospital policies and protocols ensuring patient safety and quality care

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Nurse licensure with at least 1 year of telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Ability to work 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730) with every other weekend and holiday rotation (must work 2 of 3 holidays)
  • Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring, including STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, stroke, arrhythmias, and chest pain cases
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced cardiac unit equipped with remote telemetry monitoring
  • Patient-focused, detail-oriented, and able to manage a varying patient ratio including potential elevations to 1:7

Shift Details & Contract

  • 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Contract assignment with start date ASAP

This position requires candidates willing to travel at least 50 miles from their primary residence. Flexible scheduling options are limited, but efforts will be made to accommodate block scheduling when possible.
