Telemetry Registered Nurse - Bessemer, Alabama

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical care for a contract assignment. This position requires flexibility to float between Telemetry and Med-Surg units as needed, with the added responsibility of serving as a PM resource for the Med-Surg team. Orientation consists of 8 hours, with the next session scheduled for June.

Schedule/Hours:

• PM shifts
• 8-hour orientation provided
• Assignment begins after June orientation

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year experience in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical nursing
• Proven ability to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Sound clinical judgment and ability to respond to rapidly changing conditions

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in both Telemetry and Med-Surg units
• Serve as Evening or PM shift support, assisting the Med-Surg RN team as needed
• Perform ongoing assessments and monitor patient vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with staff and families
• Participate in the orientation session and ongoing professional development
