Advance your nursing career in a dynamic hospital setting supporting stepdown and telemetry patients. This contract opportunity requires adaptability and strong clinical expertise within the Med Surg and Telemetry environments.

Schedule

  • Three 12-hour night shifts per week

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active RN license with experience in Telemetry, Med Surg, or Stepdown units
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in patient assessments and care planning
  • Physical ability for pushing, pulling, and lifting as part of direct patient care
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and safe, evidence-based care

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients, maintaining a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio in stepdown, 5:1 for day shift, and 6:1 for night shift
  • Conduct and document thorough assessments and ongoing monitoring
  • Administer medications safely and accurately, observing protocols and reactions
  • Participate actively in developing and reviewing patient care plans
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless patient care
  • Provide support through the continuum of care, ensuring timely and effective interventions
