Step into a dynamic role caring for patients in a state-of-the-art telemetry unit within a well-established facility. This contract opportunity is designed for Registered Nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to providing high-quality cardiac and telemetry care.

Schedule:

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 12-hour shifts

Essential qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (REQUIRED)
  • Demonstrated experience in a telemetry or step-down environment
  • Proficiency with PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes
  • Solid critical thinking, communication, and independent practice skills
  • Positive, engaged attitude and ability to function effectively under pressure

Preferred experience:

  • Skilled in central line management, administering medication drips, and post-heart cath recovery
  • Familiarity with bubble studies
  • Previous use of Meditech EMR is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to a mixed telemetry patient population
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and provide recovery care for post-procedural heart catheterization patients
  • Collaborate within a cohesive night shift team of RNs and patient care techs
  • Adhere to unit protocols and ensure best practices for patient safety and outcomes
  • Communicate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to implement and evaluate treatment plans
  • Support patient education and participate in quality improvement initiatives
