Join a healthcare opportunity specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing in Fort Wayne, IN. This contract position offers a rewarding night shift schedule (7 PM – 7 AM) in a well-established hospital setting. Candidates will engage with a 26-bed unit with a patient ratio of 6:1, providing quality care to medical surgical and telemetry patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort while adhering to clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
  • Float between Medical Surgical and Emergency Department holding as needed.
  • Document and maintain accurate electronic medical records using Cerner.

Qualifications:

  • Current valid RN license in Indiana.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in Med Surg or Telemetry.
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
  • Ability to work night shifts with flexibility for block scheduling.
  • Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license; permanent home address required to match ID.

Schedule:

  • Night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM.
  • No on-call responsibilities.
  • Opportunity for block scheduling.
  • Floating required between Med Surg and ED holding.
