By joining the Telemetry Float Pool, you’ll partner with dedicated colleagues, observe diverse clinical approaches, and enhance your skillset across multiple units. Exposure to a range of patient acuity—from telemetry through step-down and potentially ICU—will empower you to build a versatile and impressive resume, readying you for future leadership roles.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts, 06:45–19:15
- Every other weekend required
- Some holidays required
- No on-call
Qualifications:
- Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (TNCC required only for ICU-level assignments)
- Minimum of Med Surgical/Telemetry experience (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin)
- Progressive Care (Step-Down) experience preferred (Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynephrine, Dobutamine) and ICU experience valued
- Comfortable floating based on skills; open to learning new EMR systems (Altera Sunrise, similar to Cerner)
- Strong communicator and adaptable in fast-paced environments
- Facility is nicotine free
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care within Telemetry, Step-down, and possible ICU units
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor and respond to changing patient conditions
- Administer medications and interventions as appropriate for each care level
- Participate in multi-day orientation and ongoing development opportunities
