Travel Med-Surg/Telemetry RN Greensboro, North Carolina

A facility in Central North Carolina is seeking an experienced Med-Surg/Telemetry RN for a 26-week travel assignment. While the unit is telemetry-capable, the patient population will primarily consist of medical-surgical patients. This opportunity is ideal for a confident RN who can manage a full patient assignment, interpret basic cardiac rhythms and step into charge responsibilities when needed.

Assignment Details:

• $2,000–$2,200 per week
• 26-week contract
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Floating may be required

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to primarily medical-surgical patients on a telemetry-capable unit
• Administer blood products and manage peripheral lines
• Start IVs and administer medications including heparin, insulin and PCA therapies
• Provide oxygen therapy by nasal cannula
• Follow appropriate isolation precautions
• Work charge RN shifts as needed
• Collaborate with the facility’s rapid response team
• Float to other units or affiliated facilities when needed

Requirements:

• Recent Med-Surg or Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• Current BLS certification
• EPIC experience
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Ability to pass an EKG examination during onboarding
• Charge RN experience or confidence working in a charge capacity
• Flexibility to float throughout the healthcare system
