healthcare systems? A facility in Central North Carolina is seeking an
experienced Med-Surg/Telemetry RN for a 26-week travel assignment. While the
unit is telemetry-capable, the patient population will primarily consist of
medical-surgical patients. This opportunity is ideal for a confident RN who can
manage a full patient assignment, interpret basic cardiac rhythms and step into
charge responsibilities when needed.
Assignment Details:
- $2,000–$2,200 per week
- 26-week contract
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
- 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Floating may be required
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to primarily medical-surgical patients on a telemetry-capable unit
- Administer blood products and manage peripheral lines
- Start IVs and administer medications including heparin, insulin and PCA therapies
- Provide oxygen therapy by nasal cannula
- Follow appropriate isolation precautions
- Work charge RN shifts as needed
- Collaborate with the facility’s rapid response team
- Float to other units or affiliated facilities when needed
Requirements:
- Recent Med-Surg or Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
- Current BLS certification
- EPIC experience
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Ability to pass an EKG examination during onboarding
- Charge RN experience or confidence working in a charge capacity
- Flexibility to float throughout the healthcare system
