An excellent contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry. This role involves working on a vibrant 37-bed Telemetry unit, supported by a dynamic team and equipped with advanced technology. The team values a positive, solution-oriented approach and encourages nursing autonomy and critical thinking.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, night shift

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Registered Nurse license, active and in good standing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Telemetry experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with PCA and IV pumps, chest tubes, and Meditech EMR
  • Solid understanding of central line care, medication drips, and heart catheterization recovery
  • Demonstrated experience with patient ratios of 1:6, and 1:4 for Heart Cath recovery settings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care for patients in a fast-paced Telemetry environment
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond swiftly to any changes in patient condition
  • Administer prescribed medications and manage central lines and medication drips
  • Collaborate efficiently with a multidisciplinary team including patient care techs and physicians
  • Document care promptly and accurately in Meditech EMR
  • Assist with heart cath recovery, bubble studies, and other specialized procedures as directed
  • Uphold all unit guidelines and policies while demonstrating commitment to safety and best practices
