Telemetry Nurse (RN) in High Point, NC

A registered nurse with telemetry experience is needed for a contract assignment in High Point, NC. This role requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit. Candidates must be prepared to work 12-hour night shifts on a schedule of every other week and participate in holiday rotations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required; no first-time travelers accepted
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system
• Ability to perform blood product administration, peripheral line care, IV starts, and manage heparin, insulin, and patient-controlled analgesia (PCA)
• Familiarity with nasal cannula use, isolation precautions, and rapid response team protocols
• Must successfully pass an EKG exam during onboarding
• Willingness to float as needed and potentially serve as Charge RN

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Every other week and holiday rotations
• Flexibility in scheduling is essential

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care on a telemetry unit focused primarily on medical-surgical patients
• Monitor and manage patients’ cardiac rhythms and recognize abnormalities
• Administer medications and manage peripheral lines with precision and care
• Collaborate with healthcare teams during rapid response situations
• Ensure strict adherence to isolation and infection control protocols
