As a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry, you will play an integral part in the care team, closely monitoring patients with acute cardiac conditions and collaborating with interdisciplinary partners for optimal treatment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract-based opportunity
  • Flexible scheduling may be available depending on unit needs

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license
  • Proven experience in Telemetry nursing with a strong foundation in cardiac monitoring
  • Proficiency in interpreting EKGs and responding rapidly to arrhythmias
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
  • Previous experience in a hospital telemetry or progressive care unit preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor and interpret EKG readings, quickly identifying cardiac irregularities
  • Administer medications and interventions as prescribed for cardiac patients
  • Assess patients, document findings, and collaborate with medical teams to plan care
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care
  • Ensure compliance with hospital safety protocols and best practices in telemetry care
  • Respond promptly to any rapid changes in patient status, initiating interventions when necessary
