As a travel nurse specializing in Cardiac Telemetry, you’ll work in a high-acuity environment caring for patients recovering from cardiac procedures, those experiencing acute cardiac conditions, and individuals needing careful telemetry monitoring. In this full-time night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), you’ll benefit from a structured schedule with every third weekend required, giving you ample time to discover the region’s renowned jazz scene, barbecue hotspots, and local attractions on your days off. The facility offers a robust support team and exposure to advanced cardiac care equipment such as GE heart monitors and Masimo vital sign machines, supporting both your clinical growth and professional development.

Schedule / Hours

  • Full time
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
  • No on-call; holidays required

Responsibilities

  • Manage care for acute cardiac patients, post-procedure cases, and complex medical conditions
  • Interpret telemetry data and respond to changes in patient status
  • Collaborate with patient care techs and interdisciplinary teams
  • Administer and titrate cardiac medications
  • Uphold rigorous documentation and patient safety standards

Qualifications

  • Kansas RN license
  • 1 year of hospital RN experience
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted with willingness to obtain BSN within 5 years
  • ACLS & BLS certifications required
  • Experience with TR band required

Preferred

  • Previous experience in cardiac telemetry or stepdown
  • Familiarity with Stryker beds and advanced monitoring technologies
