This full-time night role (1900-0730) will have you working every third weekend, ensuring work-life balance and ample downtime to enjoy the area's many pursuits. Your assignment in an advanced cardiac telemetry unit means daily exposure to state-of-the-art patient care, evidence-based nursing practices, and excellent interdisciplinary collaboration. Nurses here care for primarily acute cardiac patients, post-invasive cardiac procedures, chest pain, acute illnesses (including ETOH withdrawal, sepsis, COVID), and manage initiation/titration of medications like tikosyn and Sotalol. The RN-to-patient ratio averages 1:5 across a modern, well-equipped unit with GE heart monitors, Masimo vital signs, and Stryker beds.
Key Qualifications:
- Kansas RN license (required)
- ADN or BSN (ADN must agree to pursue BSN within 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year of RN hospital experience
- ACLS & BLS certifications
- TR band experience
- BSN preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient status using advanced telemetry
- Collaborate with cardiac and interdisciplinary teams to deliver best-in-class care
