Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time contract position
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year experience in Telemetry or Progressive Care nursing
- Strong ECG interpretation skills
- Experience monitoring and managing cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (from the American Heart Association)
- Effective communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment abilities
- Comfortable working with patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients’ cardiac status, recognize and respond appropriately to changes in rhythm or condition
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and implement care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and at-home care
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in accordance with nursing standards
