Providing expert nursing care in a Telemetry setting, this travel opportunity requires a skilled Registered Nurse with recent experience in cardiac telemetry. The position is based in Lenexa, KS, supporting a cardiology unit focused on comprehensive patient monitoring and advanced cardiac care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care on a Telemetry unit, managing patients with various cardiac conditions.
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem.
- Manage TR Band care post-procedure and assist with the initiation process of Tikosyn and Sotalol.
- Float to all acute care units as needed, adapting skills to varied patient populations.
- Participate in every other weekend rotation and cover holidays such as Memorial Day and July 4th.
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system efficiently and comply with a nicotine-free facility policy.
Qualifications:
- Current Kansas RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience; 2-5 years preferred.
- Experience with cardiac telemetry drips and procedure-specific care.
- Strong ability to work night shifts (12-hour, 7 PM to 7:30 AM), three days weekly.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts, three days per week (1900-0730).
- Every other weekend rotation.
- Holiday coverage as indicated.
