Telemetry Registered Nurse - Long Beach, California

As a Registered Nurse with Telemetry experience, you’ll play a key role in patient monitoring, interpreting vital cardiac rhythms, and delivering individualized care. This per diem position offers the flexibility you need, with the expectation to float to medical-surgical units as needed, supporting multidisciplinary teams.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift, 12-hour shifts
• Per diem role for added flexibility

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in Telemetry nursing
• Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Adaptability to floating between Telemetry and med-surg units

Responsibilities:

• Provide thorough, ongoing assessment and monitoring of patients on the Telemetry unit
• Respond effectively to cardiac events and changes in patient condition, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments accurately and timely
• Document patient care and progress according to best practices
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment
• Support medical-surgical units as needed to maintain quality care coverage
