Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license free of restrictions
- Previous experience in a Telemetry unit is highly preferred
- Competency in rhythm interpretation, cardiac monitoring, and responding to telemetry alarms
- Willingness to float to med-surg units as required
- Strong assessment, clinical documentation, and communication skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, reporting changes promptly
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement effective care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
- Maintain accurate patient records and detailed documentation in the electronic health record
- Support patients and families with education and resources during the hospitalization process
- Float to med-surg as needed, providing comprehensive nursing care within RN scope
