Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical nursing
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, interpreting telemetry rhythms, and responding to urgent patient changes
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and patient safety standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor assigned patients, recognizing and rapidly responding to changes in cardiac rhythm or overall condition
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care including assessment, medication administration, wound care, and documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and allied staff to develop individualized patient plans of care
- Educate patients and their families regarding expected treatment, monitoring equipment, and discharge instructions
- Accurately document all care provided and any significant patient developments
- Maintain infection prevention protocols and ensure a safe care environment
- Adapt to new technology and consistently pursue professional development
