This travel RN position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, de-centralized telemetry environment on a 29-bed unit. Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse on every shift, benefit from a nursing supervisor available around-the-clock, and enjoy the support of experienced patient care techs. Schedule:
- 12-hour AM shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday required
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active RN license in state or compact
- At least 2 years of telemetry or acute care experience
- Minimum 1-year travel nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS required (can obtain before patient care)
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred
- Must pass Dysrhythmia exam during orientation (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- EPIC EHR experience and critical care course completion a plus
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teaching skills
- Excellent adaptability for rapidly changing patient conditions
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments
- Develop and implement evidence-based plans of care
- Administer medications and monitor cardiac drips as ordered
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and serve as a patient advocate
- Supervise and support health care team members
- Respond swiftly to acute changes in patient condition
- Maintain compliance with professional practice standards
