As an RN specializing in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical care, you’ll join a high-performing 32-bed unit focused on exceptional post-operative care. Here, you’ll work closely with a dedicated team of family practitioners, hospitalists, and surgeons, serving diverse patient needs and playing a vital role in promoting comfort and healing. Flexibility is key—you’ll be cross-trained to float between units and hospitals, exposing you to a variety of workplace practices and leadership styles, enhancing your clinical skills and elevating your resume for future opportunities.

Schedule/Hours:

• Shifts available: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Must be available for every other weekend and holidays as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Valid Registered Nurse license for Alabama or an active compact state (no temporary licenses)
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred; will consider candidates with at least 18 months of nursing experience and at least 1 year of RECENT specialty experience

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive post-surgical care, including pain management, mobility assistance, and bedside procedures
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring attentive and individualized care
• Facilitate collaborative care alongside physicians and surgical teams
• Float between different units and facilities as required
