Serving as a travel RN on a dedicated Cardiac Telemetry unit means you'll work with diverse teams, refine your cardiac nursing expertise, and experience firsthand the innovative practices and leadership styles unique to this respected healthcare environment.
This full-time assignment gives you the chance to enhance your resume caring for patients with acute cardiac conditions, post-procedural needs, and complex medical situations, all while exploring Olathe's parks, local eateries, and charming historic sites during your downtime. Schedule & Shift Details:
- Night Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Full-time hours; every third weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
- No on-call; holiday coverage as needed
Qualifications:
- BSN preferred (ADN accepted with a commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years)
- Valid Kansas RN license
- Minimum 1 year of RN hospital experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- TR Band experience necessary
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in a telemetry or cardiac care setting
- Comfort with GE heart monitors, Masimo vital sign machines, and Stryker beds
Responsibilities:
- Care for a primarily acute cardiac patient population, including post-invasive procedures and patients with conditions like chest pain, sepsis, or ETOH withdrawal
- Participate in titration and administration of cardiac medications (tikosyn/Sotalol)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient care
- Document patient status and interventions accurately and timely
