Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Experience with ventilator management preferred
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
- Previous experience in Telemetry or a similar acute care setting is highly desirable
- Strong critical thinking skills, with an ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on nursing care, applying the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients in the Telemetry Unit
- Closely monitor cardiac rhythms and other essential diagnostic results, escalating changes in condition and symptom presentation to physicians as needed
- Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery processes, ensuring clear and compassionate communication
- Direct and guide the activities of ancillary nursing personnel, upholding high standards of patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in line with facility policies
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, demonstrating a proactive approach to changes in condition or treatment response
