Registered Nurse - Telemetry (RN) - Overland Park, KS

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a telemetry/step-down or similar acute care setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Strong cardiac monitoring and interpretation skills
• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
• Adaptability to new environments and electronic medical record systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor telemetry rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to protocols
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding disease management and care expectations
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and patient safety protocols
