A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in telemetry nursing, specializing in cardiac patient care. This contract position is set in a well-equipped 16-bed telemetry unit caring primarily for adult to geriatric patients, maintaining a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. The role demands proficiency in monitoring, interpreting, and documenting cardiac rhythms twice per shift, ensuring high-quality care within a supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for tele/cardiac patients, primarily adults and geriatrics.
- Interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms accurately and timely, twice per shift.
- Follow established departmental protocols for patient assessment and documentation.
- Adhere to dress code standards with personal scrubs, avoiding designs or hoodies.
- Participate in an 8-hour non-billable orientation to ensure seamless integration.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN licensure with a New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate (mandatory for submission).
- Proven experience with EPIC electronic health records system.
- Ability to work independently in a remote telemetry nursing unit.
- Training certification in verbal de-escalation through Welle or CPI training programs (required for onboarding).
- Completion of a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills relevant to telemetry nursing.

Additional Details:
- Contract role with flexibility.
