This travel assignment provides exceptional professional development in a setting renowned for its advanced cardiac care. Working with a patient population focused on acute cardiac cases and post-procedure recovery, you’ll collaborate closely with experienced clinicians, use state-of-the-art equipment like GE heart monitors and Masimo vital sign machines, and adapt to evolving patient needs. Exposure to innovative workplace practices, different leadership styles, and the complexities of cardiac telemetry will diversify your clinical resume and build your confidence in high-acuity environments.
Schedule:
- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730)
- Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Holiday shifts required
- No on-call
- Start date: ASAP
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in KS
- BSN preferred (ADN accepted with commitment to pursue BSN within 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital RN experience
- ACLS & BLS certifications
- TR band experience
Preferred:
- BSN
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive cardiac nursing care in a telemetry setting
- Monitor patients post cardiac interventions and manage acute illness cases (including chest pain, ETOH withdrawal, COVID, sepsis)
- Utilize cardiac monitoring and advanced hospital technology
- Collaborate with a dynamic interprofessional team
- Ensure high standards of patient safety and satisfaction
