Registered Nurse - Telemetry (RN) in Shawnee, KS

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Proven experience in a telemetry or step-down nursing setting
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including EKG interpretation
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Exceptional communication and documentation abilities
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Adaptable to fast-paced clinical environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients within the telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, detect abnormalities, and respond to emergent changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor IVs, and provide necessary interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and care procedures
• Accurately document patient status, interventions, and progress in compliance with facility standards
• Participate in bedside shift reports, safety huddles, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
