Key Qualifications:
- Active certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST, CBSPD, or equivalent required)
- Demonstrated experience in sterile processing within a hospital or surgical setting
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and strict adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and washer-disinfectors
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality assurance standards
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize medical instruments and surgical tools according to industry regulations and hospital policies
- Inspect and prepare equipment for surgical procedures and other clinical uses
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization tests and processes
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in reordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to support optimal patient outcomes and efficient operating room flow
- Troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions and report any maintenance issues promptly
