Operating Room Technician (CSPT) | Fairport, New York

Key Qualifications:

• Active certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST, CBSPD, or equivalent required)
• Demonstrated experience in sterile processing within a hospital or surgical setting
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and strict adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and washer-disinfectors
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality assurance standards
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize medical instruments and surgical tools according to industry regulations and hospital policies
• Inspect and prepare equipment for surgical procedures and other clinical uses
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization tests and processes
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in reordering supplies as needed
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to support optimal patient outcomes and efficient operating room flow
• Troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions and report any maintenance issues promptly
