An opportunity is available for a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to contribute vital support in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role is ideally suited for a professional with experience in ensuring the highest standards of sterilization and equipment processing within a hospital or clinical setting.

Qualifications:

  • Active certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent) required
  • Demonstrated competency in sterile processing and infection control protocols
  • Prior hands-on experience in central sterile processing, decontamination, and instrument preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Schedule and Duration:

  • 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment
  • Operate and maintain autoclaves, washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment per manufacturer guidelines
  • Organize and distribute sterile supplies and trays to designated areas efficiently
  • Monitor sterilization records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in department quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives
  • Respond promptly to equipment requests and urgent procedure needs
