Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CBSPD)
- Prior experience working in sterile processing in a healthcare or hospital setting
- Strong understanding of infection control, decontamination, sterilization, and instrumentation management protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated commitment to patient and staff safety
- Ability to communicate clearly with surgical and nursing teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and high/low temperature sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure instruments and trays meet sterile standards prior to distribution
- Manage inventory levels, document processed items, and maintain records for quality compliance
- Collaborate effectively with operating room staff to fulfill urgent instrument and supply needs
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention guidelines and hospital-specific safety policies
- Support quality assurance by participating in ongoing training and process improvement initiatives
