Seeking a skilled professional to support surgical and clinical teams by ensuring the safe sterilization and processing of medical instruments and equipment. This role offers a 13-week assignment and focuses on maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency in a healthcare environment. Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week assignment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CBSPD)
  • Prior experience working in sterile processing in a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Strong understanding of infection control, decontamination, sterilization, and instrumentation management protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient and staff safety
  • Ability to communicate clearly with surgical and nursing teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and high/low temperature sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure instruments and trays meet sterile standards prior to distribution
  • Manage inventory levels, document processed items, and maintain records for quality compliance
  • Collaborate effectively with operating room staff to fulfill urgent instrument and supply needs
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention guidelines and hospital-specific safety policies
  • Support quality assurance by participating in ongoing training and process improvement initiatives
