Key Requirements:

• Active certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent)
• Experience in hospital or healthcare sterile processing environments
• Proficiency in decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
• Strong understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation
• Solid communication skills to work collaboratively with nursing and surgical staff

Schedule:

• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Primary Duties:

• Decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays according to established standards
• Operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment including autoclaves and washers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sterile work area
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and integrity before and after processing
• Prepare case carts and ensure timely availability of required supplies for surgical procedures
• Adhere to strict infection prevention and control policies
• Support quality assurance initiatives and respond promptly to urgent instrument requests from surgical teams
