Take on an important role in supporting patient care by ensuring high standards of sterilization and safety in clinical settings. This opportunity seeks an experienced Sterile Processing Technician with nursing knowledge and current certification to join a dedicated team for a 13-week contract.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician.
  • Previous experience in a sterile processing environment, with strong knowledge of infection control.
  • Familiarity with both manual and automated sterilization processes and equipment.
  • Ability to inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments accurately.
  • Strong understanding of hospital safety procedures, with commitment to upholding sterile techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and ability to collaborate with clinical and surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  • Operate sterilization equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines and hospital protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilized items and monitor inventory of sterile supplies.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all processed items to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Collaborate closely with surgical, nursing, and support staff to anticipate and meet instrument needs.
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention policies and contribute to a safe patient care environment.
