Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or CRCST required)
- Prior experience working in a sterile processing or central supply environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization methods, decontamination, and proper handling of surgical instruments and reusable medical equipment
- Ability to interpret instructions, follow protocols, and work well under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Schedule/Hours:
- Assigned shifts may vary depending on department needs
Responsibilities:
- Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and medical equipment following established protocols
- Accurately inspect sets for completeness and functionality before preparing and dispatching for surgical cases
- Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment, performing quality checks for proper function and documentation
- Maintain detailed records of instrument reprocessing, repairs, and inventory control
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of necessary supplies
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention standards and regulatory guidelines
