Sterile Processing Operating Room Technician in Rochester, NY

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or CRCST required)
• Prior experience working in a sterile processing or central supply environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization methods, decontamination, and proper handling of surgical instruments and reusable medical equipment
• Ability to interpret instructions, follow protocols, and work well under pressure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and medical equipment following established protocols
• Accurately inspect sets for completeness and functionality before preparing and dispatching for surgical cases
• Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment, performing quality checks for proper function and documentation
• Maintain detailed records of instrument reprocessing, repairs, and inventory control
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of necessary supplies
• Adhere strictly to infection prevention standards and regulatory guidelines
