Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (required)
  • Previous experience in sterile processing within a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices and sterilization techniques
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and surgical teams
  • Familiarity with safe handling and assembly of surgical instruments and equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely clean, sterilize, assemble, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols
  • Inspect items for damage or improper function prior to and after sterilization
  • Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment following manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Track inventory and maintain detailed, accurate records of sterilization procedures and instrument usage
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure instruments and trays are available when needed
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and healthcare standards set forth by regulatory bodies
