Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Perfusionist (ABCP or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience operating heart-lung machines and other perfusion-related equipment
• Sound understanding of surgical protocols and patient safety standards
• Ability to work under pressure in a collaborative environment
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities:

• Operate the heart-lung machine and monitor patient status during open-heart surgeries and related procedures
• Administer blood products, medications, and other fluids as directed
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient care during cardiac procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate perfusion records throughout all cases
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on perfusion equipment
• Participate in continued education to stay updated on perfusion best practices and new technology
