A leading healthcare institution is seeking a highly skilled Perfusionist to support surgical teams in delivering the highest standard of patient care. Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Clinical Perfusionist by a recognized accrediting body (ABCP or equivalent) is required
• Proven experience operating cardiopulmonary bypass and related equipment
• In-depth understanding of perfusion techniques, ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and blood salvage systems
• Ability to accurately monitor and interpret patient hemodynamics during surgery
• Advanced knowledge of safety and sterility procedures within an operating room
• Strong critical thinking skills and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Core Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage heart-lung machines, ECMO, and other circulatory support devices during cardiac procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor vital signs, blood gases, and anticoagulation status during procedures, responding rapidly to any changes
• Prepare perfusion equipment prior to procedures and perform thorough post-operative cleaning and maintenance as per protocols
• Maintain detailed and accurate records for every case in line with hospital and regulatory standards
• Engage in continuing education to remain updated on the latest perfusionist practices and technologies
