Essential Qualifications:

• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) credential or eligibility required
• Proven experience operating heart-lung machines and other perfusion equipment
• Comprehensive knowledge of cardiopulmonary bypass, ECMO, and blood management principles
• Ability to collaborate efficiently with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff in high-pressure settings
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
• Flexibility to adapt to changing surgical schedules and priorities
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor extracorporeal circulation equipment during cardiac and transplant surgeries
• Maintain patient safety by ensuring precise control of hemodynamic and respiratory parameters
• Manage anticoagulation and blood product usage as directed by physician orders
• Prepare, calibrate, and troubleshoot perfusion equipment and monitoring devices
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, machine performance, and patient status
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed
• Support continuous improvement by contributing to department meetings and process evaluations
