This opportunity is for an Inpatient Pharmacist to support a 500-bed hospital located in Northwestern Texas. The role requires clinical expertise in hospital inpatient pharmacy services with a focus on delivering safe and effective medication management for patients. The hospital utilizes the EPIC system, making experience with this platform highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and verify inpatient medication orders to ensure accurate dispensing
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy and patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient medication therapy, including dosing adjustments and adverse reaction assessments
  • Provide clinical consultations and support during rounds
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience as an inpatient pharmacist within a hospital setting is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with the EPIC electronic health record system is an advantage, supporting a smooth workflow and documentation
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining attention to detail

Schedule and Location:

  • Location: Abernathy, TX (Northwestern Texas region)
  • Schedule: 7 consecutive nights on, followed by 7 nights off; Wednesday through Tuesday rotation
  • Position Type: Travel contract with consideration for permanent placement if candidate is interested in relocation
