This permanent clinical pharmacist role offers a unique opportunity to expand your expertise across multiple high-impact units, including the Emergency Department (ED), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists often work on a single floor, this position allows you to develop a broad clinical skillset by engaging with diverse patient populations and complex cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and verify medication orders while reviewing medication profiles for clinical appropriateness.
- Provide direct clinical services tailored to each patient population.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate closely with healthcare teams.
- Conduct drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults in accordance with protocols.
- Engage actively in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or PharmD.
- PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years clinical experience.
- Pennsylvania pharmacist license preferred but not required; out-of-state candidates without a PA license are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work efficiently within Meditech electronic health record system is a plus.
