A permanent Clinical Pharmacist position is available featuring diverse clinical practice opportunities across emergency department (ED), critical care unit (CCU), and antibiotic stewardship team environments. This role offers the chance to advance clinical skills by working on multiple units, avoiding the narrower focus often found at larger hospitals.
Location:
State College, PA — a picturesque area home to Penn State University. Relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and verify medication orders; review medication profiles for clinical appropriateness.
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient populations in ED and ICU settings.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and teams based on practice area assignments.
- Monitor drug therapy and manage pharmacist-led consults according to protocols.
- Actively engage in acute patient care scenarios, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma events.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years’ current clinical pharmacy experience.
- Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain licensure. Out-of-state candidates without PA license are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with Meditech or similar healthcare IT systems is beneficial.
Schedule:
- Variable days/afternoons, primarily 8-hour day shifts.
Additional Information:
- Competitive salary range: $108,000 to $169,000 annually (midpoint approx. $139,000).
- Relocation support available on a case-by-case basis.
