A rewarding opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Oncology within an outpatient infusion setting. This contract position supports multiple sites in the Los Angeles metro area, offering dynamic exposure to a reputable healthcare environment. The role focuses on ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and verification of intravenous chemotherapy treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify chemotherapy and other IV medication orders in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of USP 797 and 800 guidelines to maintain sterile compounding practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote optimal patient outcomes in an outpatient oncology infusion center.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and medication management.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials to practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in chemotherapy/oncology pharmacy settings.
  • Strong background in IV admixture preparation and verification.
  • Familiarity with USP standards 797 and 800 for sterile compounding.
  • Proficiency with EPIC or similar health IT systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient infusion environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Location:

  • Multiple sites throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
