A specialty clinical oncology pharmacist position is open for a contract opportunity at a leading outpatient oncology infusion center located at the Santa Monica Campus. This role is ideal for pharmacists with a strong background in oncology and infusion therapies seeking day shifts Monday through Friday, with variable hours between 7am and 6pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, verify, and dispense chemotherapy and oncology medications in an outpatient infusion setting.
  • Collaborate closely with the oncology care team to ensure safe and effective medication management for cancer patients.
  • Utilize Epic electronic health records for medication ordering, documentation, and communication.
  • Monitor patient therapies for adverse effects and efficacy, providing clinical recommendations as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards specific to oncology pharmacy services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years recent clinical infusion oncology pharmacy experience, preferably in an outpatient or infusion center setting.
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system required.
  • Strong understanding of oncology chemotherapy regimens, protocols, and patient counseling.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shifts with start times varying between 7am and 6pm.
