Clinical Pharmacist in Anaheim, CA

This opportunity seeks a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist with a specialized focus on TPN management and sterile compounding for a contract-to-hire role based in Anaheim, CA. The position offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinically manage and monitor patients receiving TPN therapy, ensuring effective treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with dietitians, physicians, and pharmacy staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Review TPN formulations, lab results, and therapy progress to make informed clinical recommendations, particularly for hospital discharges.
• Provide detailed patient counseling and education about medications and infusion therapy.
• Oversee sterile compounding processes as needed, ensuring compliance with USP <797> standards.
• Communicate proficiently with both clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Serve as a clinical resource and exhibit leadership within the pharmacy setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2+ years of recent clinical pharmacy experience with a strong background in sterile compounding.
• Demonstrated expertise managing TPN patients and therapy.
• Experience collaborating with dietitians and healthcare providers is essential.
• Proficient in patient counseling and clinical communication.
• Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license required.
• Licensed or willing to promptly obtain licenses in Mississippi and Alabama.
• Solid understanding of USP <797> and sterile pharmacy procedures.
• Home infusion experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong emotional intelligence, leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills vital for dynamic collaboration.
• Ability to communicate confidently with physicians, dietitians, patients, and providers.
• Professionalism, maturity, and sound clinical judgment are necessary.
