Provide expert pharmaceutical care within an inpatient hospital setting during a 13-week contract assignment. This role involves delivering clinical pharmacist services that ensure safe and effective medication use for patients in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a strong background in inpatient pharmacy practices, focusing on critical medications, controlled substances, and quality assurance.

Location:

  • Anderson, SC

Schedule:

  • Pharmacy hours from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm
  • 8-hour shift

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor medication therapy for hospitalized patients, including critical drips and controlled substances
  • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize pharmacologic outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and medication safety standards
  • Utilize electronic health record systems, with Epic experience considered a valuable asset
  • Complete 1-2 full days of mandatory training modules prior to assignment start

Qualifications:

  • Valid South Carolina Pharmacy License
  • 1-5 years of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years will also be considered if experienced and able to work independently
  • Proficient in handling critical care medications and intravenous drips
  • Experience with quality assurance processes and controlled substances management
  • Willingness to adapt and complete required training promptly
