A clinical pharmacist position is available for an immediate start on a night shift schedule along the CA Central Coast. This travel assignment offers a 7 days on, 7 days off night shift in the San Luis Obispo area, with a duration of 13 weeks or longer. The pharmacist will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective medication use within an inpatient hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and process medication orders accurately
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily tasks
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care through medication management
- Utilize pharmacokinetic principles to tailor drug therapies and monitor therapeutic outcomes
- Navigate electronic systems including Cerner and Omnicell for medication management
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active California pharmacist license
- Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide medication consultations
- Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred
- Ability to work independently on night shifts with a focus on patient safety and teamwork
