Clinical Pharmacist | Atwater, California

This position offers the opportunity to support infusion pharmacy operations on a part-time basis (2-3 days per week) within a clinical setting. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an immediate start and ongoing assignment.

Key responsibilities include evaluating physician prescription orders for appropriateness in dosage, drug choice, and potential interactions. You will ensure patient records are thorough, covering medical history, lab results, and concurrent medications. Maintaining compliance with state, federal, and accrediting bodies such as JCAHO and ACHC is essential. Your role will also involve assessing lab results to confirm medication safety and efficacy, supporting medical staff with clinical and technical expertise, and supervising sterile compounding along with quality assurance programs.

This position involves training and supervising pharmacy technicians, interns, and laboratory staff, as well as assisting in policy implementation. Documentation of communications with healthcare professionals and patient education on drug therapies are also critical components.

The ideal candidate holds a California pharmacist license in good standing and possesses strong clinical and infusion pharmacy experience, with a preference for prior home infusion pharmacy background. Recent graduates with IV/TPN experience gained during rotations or internships are encouraged to apply, as training will be provided. Excellent communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude are valued above all. Attention to detail in resume presentation is also important.

Familiarity with the CareTend system is required.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• California pharmacist license active and in good standing
• Strong IV/infusion and clinical pharmacy experience; home infusion experience preferred
• Recent graduates with relevant IV/TPN APPE or internship experience considered, with training provided
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Detail-oriented and professional documentation skills
