Clinical Pharmacist | Baker, Louisiana

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide expert clinical pharmacy services within an inpatient hospital setting. The facility operates with a census of 131 beds, maintaining 60 to 70 active beds daily. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in optimizing medication therapy and ensuring patient safety across the hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and manage medication orders using Epic order entry system
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and monitor individualized patient care plans
• Utilize Pyxis automation system to manage medication dispensing efficiently
• Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug information and education to staff
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Louisiana pharmacy license
• Experience in an inpatient hospital environment is required
• Familiarity with Pyxis automation system is a plus; training available
• Experience with Epic order entry system is a plus; training available
• Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills to support patient outcomes

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday with shifts available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Rotating weekends are required
