A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist specializing in compounding in Bakersfield, CA. This contract role extends through July 2026 with the possibility of becoming permanent. The position focuses on overseeing sterile and non-sterile compounding processes to ensure safe and effective medication preparation.
Responsibilities include performing final verification of prescriptions, filling, labeling, and prepackaging medications, and maintaining clear communication with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refills. The role also involves counseling patients and addressing their questions, while strictly adhering to USP 795, 797, 800 standards and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Schedule/Shift:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
- Full-time commitment through July 2026
Desired Qualifications:
- PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Active California Pharmacist license
- 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for compounding expertise
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent organizational abilities
