A full-time, temporary opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist specializing in compounding, located in Bakersfield, CA. This contract assignment runs through July 2026, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes in compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
- Perform final verification and accuracy checks of prescription orders.
- Accurately fill, label, and prepackage medications for patient use.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refill needs.
- Provide patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries.
- Ensure strict adherence to USP standards 795, 797, 800, as well as state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
Qualifications:
- PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
- Active, unrestricted California Pharmacist license.
- 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for candidates skilled in compounding.
- Strong organizational abilities combined with excellent communication skills.
