Clinical Pharmacist - Bakersfield, California

A full-time, temporary opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist specializing in compounding, located in Bakersfield, CA. This contract assignment runs through July 2026, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes in compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
• Perform final verification and accuracy checks of prescription orders.
• Accurately fill, label, and prepackage medications for patient use.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refill needs.
• Provide patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries.
• Ensure strict adherence to USP standards 795, 797, 800, as well as state Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM

Qualifications:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
• Active, unrestricted California Pharmacist license.
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for candidates skilled in compounding.
• Strong organizational abilities combined with excellent communication skills.
